Our knowledgeable and courteous staff are always willing to help you find the right piece of lumber. Here are four different types of wood products that we generally keep in stock.

Pressure Treated Lumber

Pressure treated lumber is one of the most common types of wood. It is used in framing buildings, creating decks, home projects, and much more. It is created by coating the unfinished wood in liquid and placing it in a special pressure chamber. The result is a beam that repels insects, fungus, and other natural elements that could compromise the strength of the wood.

FSC Certified Lumber

While some of the lumber yards in Houston keep Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood in stock, not all of them do. At Bayou City Lumber, we are happy to keep a full inventory of FSC pieces on hand. The timber is specifically inspected to ensure the company producing it is following all forest sustainability guidelines. If you are looking to build in an environmentally friendly manner, this is the material you are searching for.

Fiberon Composite Decking

Another offering at our lumber yard is Fiberon composite decking. This fairly new product is designed to provide the beauty of wood decking with a much higher durability level. It comes in a range of colors and finishes to help you get the perfect look for your patio or deck. We are also one of the few lumber yards in Houston who carry this particular product.

House Pilings

House pilings can be used to create foundations for homes and/or used as part of fencing. These round poles come in a range of sizes and lengths. Our inventory usually features a variety of different types to help suit your needs.
